  • Six Wildcats win league track and field titles

  • El Dorado's boys and girls track and field teams both finished third at the AVCTL-Div. III league meet. The lady Wildcats were third with 94 points behind Buhler's 142 and McPherson's 121.5. The boys were third with 99 points behind Winfield's 139 and Buhler's 105.
    In boys action, three Wildcats won individual league titles while several others earned medals. Three girls won individuals championships as well.
    BOYS
    Coley McCarthy took second place in the long jump with a mark of 19'8.5".
    4x400-m relay team finished second with a time of 3:33.06.
    Garrett Howland won the pole vault with a mark of 13'1".
    Landon Cuskelly won the league title in the high jump with a mark of 5'10".
    Matt Harvey won the league title in the 110-m hurdles race with a time of 15.49.
    Jacob Anders finished third in the 800-m run for the Wildcats with a time of 2:09.30.
    The boys 4x800-m relay team finished second with a time of 8:25.44.
    GIRLS
    Jolie Howland finished second in the 800-m race with a time of 2:25.74. Howland also won the league title in the 1600-m run with a time of 5:52.01.
    4x400-m relay team won with a time of 4:09.87.
    4x800-m relay team finished second with a time of 10:50.48.
    Destiny Smith took third in the long jump with a leap of 15'2.5". Smith also finished fourth in the 100-m dash with a time of 13.40.
    Howland won the title in the 200-m dash with a time of 26.63.
    Kalyn Beel was second in the triple jump with a mark of 31'7.5"
