Andover Central's baseball team had a big day this weekend in Emporia.
The Jaguars started with a 10-0 blowout of Garden City Friday. In the contest, freshman Jaguar pitcher Austin Ray threw a six-inning no-hitter; he is the first freshman in school history to do so. He had six strikeouts in the win.
Blake Meier was 3-for-4 with two doubles in the contest. Brock Schaffer was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Austin Clark was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
In the Jaguars' second game Saturday, Kier Stamp had two home runs, one a three-run shot and the other a grand slam to clinch a 19-6 victory against Emporia in six innings. Stamp also hit a two-run bomb against Garden City.
Lucas Milner pitched five innings and allowed six earned runs to pick up the win. At the plate, Milner was 2-for-2 and scored four runs.
Meier was 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Jaguars. Nick Johnston was 2-for-3. Austin Clark was 2-for-4 with two RBIs
Central has the rest of the week off to prepare for its upcoming regional tournament in El Dorado next week.
