Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation recently donated $25,000 to the Sunlight Children’s Advocacy and Rights Foundation for the naming rights of one of the bedrooms in the Sunshine Children’s Home that is currently being built in Andover.

Suzi Thien, executive director for S.C.A.R.F., is thrilled to have received the donation.

“The donation for the bedroom brings S.C.A.R.F. closer to achieving its $2.5 million capital campaign goal,” Thien said. “After receiving the $25,000 donation we will just need to raise an additional $20,000 to complete our campaign.”

S.C.A.R.F. broke ground on the Sunshine Children’s Home in January of this year. The home is expected to be completed this fall and will provide services to children from Butler, Elk and Greenwood counties who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. It will also provide respite services for the South Central Mental Health Association.

The Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization established in 2003 by Delta Dental of Kansas, the largest dental benefits administrator in the state of Kansas.
