  • Betty Lou White, 85, of El Dorado, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014, in El Dorado.
     Celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m.  on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.  Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
    Betty was born on Oct. 21, 1928 in Lambert, Okla., the daughter of Hyler H. and Bessie M. (Rather) Green.  Betty was united in marriage to Cecil Turner and in this union they had a daughter, Cecilia.  In 1964 Betty married Herb Schrader. They lived in Haysville where Betty became a Tupperware manager. Upon their retirement, they moved to Omaha, Arkansas, moving back to El Dorado. Herb preceded her in death.
    In 1998 Betty was united in marriage to Jim White. The couple enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing and loved playing cards.  Spending time with family and friends was also a favorite of theirs.   Jim also preceded Betty in death.
    She is survived by: grandchildren, Alan (Julie) Schrader, Destry Schrader, Missy (Dustin) Burkhart; children with Herb Schrader: Herb Schrader, Jr., Helen Galyon, Rose Robinson, Sally Shields, children with Jim White: Donnie White, Teresa Northcutt, Annette Hamm; brothers, Bill (Fay) Green, Willis (Beverly) Green;  and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren,  great-great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cecilia; seven brothers and two sisters.
    Memorials in her memory have been established with First Christian Church and American Heart Association, which can be left with Carlson Funeral Home. Condolences for the family can be sent to www.carlsoncolonial.com.
