Circle's softball team cruised through the first game against El Dorado Monday night in Towanda.

The Thunderbirds scored four runs in each of the first four innings on way to a 16-1 victory. Caylie Kifer hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run for the T-birds. Amanda Connell shut down the Wildcats on the mound.

Reaan Wilson was 4-for-4 with an RBI for the T-birds. Kaitlyn Tosh, Brooke Toedman and Caley Brand all added three hits. Morgan Baughman and Krystal Mullin each had a pair of hits for Circle.

Morgan Owens had an RBI base hit to score Sydney Harper for El Dorado's lone run.

In Game 2, though, El Dorado put up a tough fight. The Wildcats and T-birds were tied 4-4 before Circle pulled away with a 13-7 victory. Connell got a second win on the mound.

Connell was 3-for-5 with three RBIs for Circle. Wilson was 4-for-4 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

Megan Riffel was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Wildcats. Kayla Smith also was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Harper finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Haleigh Johnson added two hits and an RBI for the Wildcats.

Circle next plays McPherson this Thursday. El Dorado next plays McPherson Monday, April 15.
