The Andover City Council approved Tuesday evening the use of Central Park for an Andover Bike and Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on May 10.

Levy said the goals of the fair include learning about bicycle safety, having bicycles looked over by mechanics and safety officers, helmet checks, learning about health benefits of bicycling and learning about various options around town for bicycling opportunities.

Current sponsors and participants include AARTI, Kansas Medical Center, Bicycle Pedaler, Andover Police Department, Bike Walk Wichita, OZ Bike Club and Prairie Travelers.
