Emma L. Johnson, 102, Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Emma Lydia (Weber) Johnson, 102, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron, Augusta.

Emma was born April 14, 1911, to Henry and Augusta (Albrecht) Weber in Ramona, Kan. She graduated from Ramona High School and attended three years at Wichita State University. She married Velmo Silknitter Johnson on Nov. 22, 1941, in Ramona. Together Velmo and Emma owned and operated Trailsmobile in Texas and J & D Fashions in Augusta from 1947-1952. Velmo passed away March 24, 1987. They were married 46 years. Emma was a Bible scholar and was a member of the Tabitha Circle at Christ Lutheran Church.

Her survivors include: her nieces and nephews, Betty (Weber) Schindler, Lawrence (Shirley) Weber, Earl (Rosie) Weber, all of Harlingen, Texas, Donald (Allene) Weber, Ken Johnson, all of Georgetown, Texas, Diane (Weber) Ecklund, Bruce (Celeste) Weber, all of New Braunfels, Texas, William "Bill" (Bonnie) Martin of Emporia, Robert "Bob" (Ann) Martin of Minneapolis, Kan.; niece-in-law, Jeanette Weber of Harlingen, Texas; god children, Steven King, Charles Ewart, Laura (Auer) Swan and Vicki (Morris) Fitzwater ; special friend and caregiver, Ruth King of Augusta. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; four brothers and two sisters.

A memorial has been established with Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron, Augusta, KS 67010.
