Andover Central's girls bowling team won the Class 5-1A regional championship with a team score of 2563. The Jaguars beat second-place Bishop Carroll 2343. Both teams will compete at the state bowling meet next week.

In the boys action, Carroll won the team title and Eisenhower beat Augusta 2583-2538 to take the second team qualifying spot. Andover finished with a 2356 score and Andover Central had a 2353 score.

UPDATE: Two Augusta Orioles qualified individually for the state meet next week. Senior Andrew Orocio took seventh place overall for the boys, and senior Bethany Watson took sixth place overall for the girls. The top six individuals who are not a member of a qualifying team earn a berth at the state meet.
