  • Mulvane pulls away from Lady Wildcats

  • The Lady Wildcats dropped their final game of the regular season to Mulvane Thursday night falling 52-36 on Alumni Court.
    Mulvane jumped out in front of the Lady Wildcats in the opening eight minutes of play earning a 10-6 lead.
    El Dorado however fought back in the second quarter to get within a point before halftime down 19-18. The Wildcats outscored Mulvane 12-9 in the second frame.
    Mulvane began to pull away from the Wildcats in the third quarter outscoring El Dorado 17-11 in the opening eight minutes of the second half. Mulvane led the Wildcats 36-29.
    Mulvane put the game out of reach for good in the fourth quarter outscoring the Lady Wildcats 16-7 to send El Dorado to their 18th defeat of the season at 52-36.
    El Dorado was led offensively by Destiny Smith with 10 points including going 8-8 from the line. Mikala Ruff dropped in nine points that included two 3-pointers and going 1-2 from the line. Aubrey Olson scored six points on two 3-pointers. Kalyn Beel added five points, Justice Rice scored four points and Sydney Howland and Trinity Smith each had a point.
    El Dorado takes on Andover Central next Thursday at home for the opening round of sub-state play.
