Magic, mystery and mayhem! We all know how the story ends.

But now it’s time to connect again with our old friends Harry, Ron and Hermione, as they take on malicious wizards, evil spells, and their amazing education at Hogwarts Castle.

The last Saturday of each month, starting on Feb. 22, Towanda Public Library will host discussions on the Harry Potter books. They will start with the first novel, and then feature the next book in the series, in order.

They have copies available – books and audiobooks – for check out here at the library.

Although the programming is aimed at adults, all interested ages are welcome. Both muggles and the magically inclined are invited to share in these events: first time you’ve read it? Or is this a re-read? Everyone is welcome.

For the first meeting, they will discuss “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” and attendees will be sorted into Houses and allowed to choose a wand.

They will explore themes in the books in a detailed discussion. Future Saturdays will experiment with different Hogwarts educational activities such as reading tea leaves and dueling.

The meeting will be between 10 a.m. and noon and attendees are welcome to stop in when they can and leave when they need to.
