Mistie Hall, and her son, Brayden Peebler, spent the day building an impressive snow fort in their front yard
With the option of taking a snow day Monday, Mistie Hall and decided not to chance the roads to get her son to school, but the day wasn’t spent doing nothing.
Hall, and her son, Brayden Peebler, spent the day building an impressive snow fort in their front yard on West Carr.
They spent 11 hours building the fort, which even includes a window.
“Two years ago my husband and I made a smaller one for him to play in,” Hall said.
Her son had been asking to build one since then but there had not been enough snow until now.
“I tried to make it look like a castle,” Peebler said.
He said he enjoyed spray painting it, and came up with the idea for the window.
Hall said Peebler went to the garage to see what else they could use and came back with the idea for the window.
They started working on the fort at 9:30 in the morning and didn’t finish it until about 11 that night.
“We love snow,” Hall said.
She said growing up she was home schooled and they would go to Texas every winter so she always missed out on the snow. Now, she tries to do as much as she can with her family in the snow.
“I love the snow,” she said.
