  • The Augusta Immunization Clinic scheduled for Feb. 19 has been canceled due to staff training.
The Augusta clinic will be open the third Wednesdays of March as scheduled from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The Augusta clinic is located at the tag office by the airport.
The Butler County Health Department has a limited number of influenza vaccine if you have not received it this season.
It takes about two weeks after vaccination for your body to develop an immune response, which will last for an entire year. A vaccination is required every year because flu viruses constantly change, so flu vaccines are updated every season to protect against the current circulating viruses. Yearly vaccination is recommended even for those who received the vaccine during the previous flu season.
The El Dorado Clinic offers flu shots during immunization clinical hours from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Monday and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. the last Friday of the month. The clinic is located at 206 N. Griffith, El Dorado (behind the movie theater).
