Consider the power of example

The apostle Paul once wrote, “Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of who believe.” (1 Timothy 4:12).

Because others looked down the young preacher Timothy, he felt his influence was limited, but Paul encouraged him to make a difference by his example in living for Christ.

The same is true of our world. Consider the power of example. It has been said that we learn:

10 % of what we read

20 % of what we hear

30 % of what we see

50 % of what we see and hear

70 % of what we discuss with others

80 % of what we experience personally

95 % of what we teach others.

Matthew writes of the life of Jesus Christ in Chapter 7 verses 28 and 29; "...the multitudes were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority."The power of example is strong, Jesus not only walked the walk - He talked the talk.
