Robert E. Broadstock, 93, El Dorado, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at Lakepoint Rehabilitation in El Dorado.
A celebration of his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado. The Reverend Stan Seymour will officiate.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1920 in Windsor, Colo. the son of Bert and Amanda Stonemets Broadstock. He graduated from Augusta High School and served in the Air Force from 1942 to 1945. He worked for Boeing Company for 30 years and was an engineer/supervisor. Robert and Maxine Brewer were united in marriage on Oct. 28, 1945 in Leon.
Robert was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed woodworking; fishing and hunting.
Those who survive include: his wife, Maxine of the home; son, Ken Broadstock, Wichita; daughter, Shari Higgins and husband Jerry, Broken Arrow, Okla.; sister, Betty Patterson, Augusta; brother, Bill Broadstock and wife Marjorie, also of Augusta; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Higgins, Tresa Spencer, Matt Broadstock, Manda Karch, and Bree Lawrence; 9 great-grandchildren.
