  • Augusta's boys basketball team found itself in a dog fight with tournament-host Baldwin High School Saturday night in the tournament championship game.
Baldwin held off the Orioles from more late-game heroics to beat Augusta 61-57. The two teams traded leads throughout the contest in a close game.
The Orioles still had four players - Sean Brandenburg, Dustyn McEachern, Tristan Finch and Kyler Steinkamp - earn All-Tournament team honors.
Augusta returns to action Tuesday when it travels to play El Dorado.
-The El Dorado Wildcats boys used a strong start to both the third and fourth quarters of Saturday's game against Circle to take control on way to a 58-44 win. With the win, the Wildcats took third place at the Blustem Classic tournament.
-Andale's boys team defeated Douglass 60-49 to beat out the Bulldogs for third place at the Rupp tournament.
