The Susan B. Allen Immediate Care Clinic in Augusta will be opening on Monday and before they do, they’d like to invite everyone in the community to take a look through the facility and meet the staff.
A community-wide Open House has been scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Clinic, located at 401 W. 7th in Augusta.
Susan B. Allen Immediate Care Clinic staff, as well as staff from Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, will be available to provide tours, answer questions, and serve light refreshments to anyone who would like to take a look.
“We’ve been working very hard to make the Immediate Care Clinic something everyone in the community will feel is a quality healthcare option,” said Debra Klecker, APRN, director of the SBA Immediate Care Clinic. “It’s a beautiful building, and our staff members are looking forward to becoming an imhealthcare team which is working to make Augusta and the surrounding area a healthier place to live.”
The Immediate Care Clinic will open for business at 3 p.m. Monday and will be open seven-days a week from 3 to 9:30 p.m.
The main goal of the SBA Immediate Care Clinic is to provide care for common illnesses/injuries with no appointments in a quick and efficient manner, especially when other providers aren’t available.
The clinic will provide care for common illnesses or injuries such as fevers, ear infections, rashes, headaches, minor cuts or abrasions, sprains/strains and other non-emergent needs. Diagnostic imaging (x-ray) and laboratory services are available to help with diagnosis.
“We’re glad that we are able to have a physical presence in Augusta, and able to be providing a service that people have wanted for such a long time,” said Gene Kimble, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital director of marketing. “The staff who are working at the facility will provide services in the same manner people have come to expect from Susan B. Allen, and it should be really convenient for everyone in the area.”
