Peace of Mind Home Plus residential adult care home adding two beds
Peace of Mind Home Plus residential adult care home will be adding two beds, after the Rose Hill City Council gave its approval at its Jan. 21 meeting.
The Planning Commission had earlier approved the home’s expansion to six beds.
Zoning for the home, at 400 E. School St., was set in 2011. With the addition of a third bedroom for residents, the home will need to re-apply for a license from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and be approved by the state Fire Marshall’s office.
In other discussion, City Manager Kathy Axelson reported an excellent turnout for the Strategic Plan Open House Jan. 9, which gave residents the opportunity to voice their opinion on Rose Hill’s future priorities and direction.
Residents unable to attend the open house may still give their opinions on the future of the city, Axelson said. Survey questions will go out in the Feb. 1 water bills and will be available on the city’s website, http://cityofrosehill.com.
Axelson said the Strategic Plan Steering Committee will meet Jan. 28 at the city building, and the public is invited to observe the discussion.
