Augusta's boys basketball team had no trouble with KC-Christian in Tuesday night's first-round match-up of the Baldwin tournament. The Orioles won handily 65-36.

Connor Hurst scored 15 of his game-high 23 points in the first half as the Orioles jumped out to a 16-5 first-quarter lead and a 38-17 halftime lead.

Sean Brandenburg made six baskets, which included one 3-pointer, and scored 13 points. Brandon Smith added four baskets for eight points. Cody Wesbrooks and Dustyn McEachern both scored five, Chaydon Carter had four, Cortlan Jackson hit a 3-pointer for his three points and Kyler Steinkamp and Tristan Finch both added two points.

The Orioles will play Wellsville in the second round at 7 p.m. Friday night.
