Augusta USD 402 hosted “Commit to be Fit” Wellness Fair and educational sessions Monday morning for district licensed staff.
The health and wellness fair has proven to be a valuable resource as those who attend are able to learn more about the various health and wellness topics, as well as many of the programs and services available in and around the community. Attendees were able to use the morning to ask questions and explore wellness issues in a casual atmosphere.
The educational sessions included: Diabetes Awareness, Healthy Skillet Meals, Brain Breaks in the Classroom, Cardiac Health/Stroke Awareness, Concussion Protocol, Stress Management, Strength and Conditioning demonstrations, All About Your Vision, Dental Health, Exploited and Missing Children, Pilates and Boot Camp.
Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital provided lab screenings for diabetes, cholesterol and triglycerides.

Allen Memorial Hospital, Butler County Health Department, Andover YMCA, American Heart Association, OPAA Food Services, Butler County Extension, Cooper Drug, South Central Mental Health Counseling Center, Dr. Alyson Smith, Augusta Family Dentistry, PT Plus Physical Therapy, Lions Club, Anytime Fitness, Delta Dental, Preferred Health and Sedgwick County Missing & Exploited Children’s Unit.
