Andover Central's girls bowling team edged Augusta 2243-2178 Thursday at The Alley in Wichita.
The Jaguars were led by Keri Ladigo, who finished with a 624 series and a game-high 257. She got good help from her teammates. Tristen Hall finished with a 570 series, Natalie Howater had a 522 series and Heather James had a 521 series.
Augusta had the top two bowlers of the match. Katy Nordman had her biggest performance of the young season with a 653 series to lead the Orioles. She had games of 214, 235 and 204.
Bethany Watson was right with her fellow senior teammate. Watson bowled a 628 with games of 232, 195 and 201.
Ashtyn Flower was third with a 446 series. Abby Emmitt was close behind that with a 441 series.
Mulvane took third place (1786).
On the boys side, Augusta had a strong finish to top Mulvane and Central for first place. The Orioles had a team score of 2293 to Mulvane's 2268 and the Jaguars' 2170.
Augusta's Chase Hallmark had the second-highest series of the triangular with a 569, which included a high game of 222. Elijah Owens was just one pin behind his teammate with a 568 with a high game of 224.
Quentin Araiza was third for the Orioles with a 562 series and bowled a team-high 232 that came in the final game. Andrew Orocio bowled a 558.
Austin Clark led the Jaguars with a 551 series. Pat Placzek was second with a 519 and had a team game-high 209. Denver Smith bowled a 508 series and Cord Whiteker bowled a 503 series.
