  • The McPherson Bullpups were not gracious visitors to the Lady Wildcats Friday night beating El Dorado at Alumni Court 57-27. "What it comes down to is that we have to put the ball in the bucket to compete with teams in the caliber of McPherson and tonight we were unable to do that," said El Dorado head coach Shauna Riedy. McPherson stormed to a 18-7 lead on the Wildcats after the first quarter and added 19 more points and limited the Wildcats to just seven points in the second quarter. The Bullpups maintained a comfortable 37-14 lead over El Dorado at the halftime break. "I asked our girls to play hard for all 32 minutes and though the game did not go in our favor I cannot say enough for our effort and fight through all four quarters of the game," said Riedy. McPherson outscored the Wildcats in the second half 20-13 to hold on to the 30 point blow out win. "Fundamentally we are getting better every game as a unit though the scoreboard may not reflect it our girls continue to do what we ask and we will keep building as the season continues," said Riedy. The Wildcats were led offensively by Destiny Smith with seven points on the night. Kalyn Beel added six points for the Wildcats. Erin Hildreth and Justice Rice each had three points on the night. Aubrey Olson, Morgan Owens, Tara Fisher and Shelbie Storrer each had two opine a piece in the game. The Wildcats take on Augusta at home on Tuesday.
