  • Trojan boys bowlers top Mulvane, girls narrowly lose

  • Mulvane's girls bowling team narrowly edge the Andover Trojans 1856-1850 during Tuesday's match.
    The Trojans led by nearly 100 pins after two games before Mulvane put together a 689 game to rally for the win.
    Ashlea Hall led the Trojans with a 223, the team's only 200 game, and a 550 series. Ashley Cornelison had the second-highest game (183) and series (480) for Andover. Nicole Chen bowled a 420 series. Peyton Ramsett and Dakotah Smith both bowled a 381 series.
    Andover's boys team took advantage of a strong second game on way to a 2304-2050 victory. Only four pins separated the two teams after the first game, but the Trojans put together an 841 to seize control.
    Anthony Wentz led the Trojans with a 600 series, which included games of 201 and 211. Sam Plummer had Andover's top game of 226 in the opener and added a 204 game on way to a 587 series.
    Matt Tomblin bowled a 579 series and Colin Esworthy had a 535 series for the Trojans.
