An Andover Central High School teacher and coach is on administrative leave while he faces misdemeanor sexual assault charges.
Bob Gould is listed as a business and computer teacher on the Andover USD 385 website and is an assistant basketball and track coach.
An official statement from USD 385 said, “On Thursday, December 19, we were made aware that one of our employees was charged with sexual battery. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation, as is the Andover Police Department.”
He was arrested after a 19-year-old woman, reported being sexually assaulted when Gould visited her at her home.
The district’s statement went on to say, “The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The incident did not occur on school grounds, nor did it involve any current students. Because this is an active investigation and a personnel matter, no additional information is available to be shared at this time.”
Sexual battery is a misdemeanor charge. It was filed in Andover Municipal Court.
