  • The Butler County Republican Party 2014 Kick-Off meeting and Legislative Update featuring the state senators and representatives who represent Butler County in Topeka will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Augustas LakePoint Nursing Center (Community Meeting Room), 901 Lakepoint Drive.  Among those attending will be:
    Senator Forrest Knox - District 14 (Cassoday, Douglass, El Dorado, Elbing, Latham, Leon, Potwin, Rosalia, Towanda plus Chautauqua, Coffey, Cowley (portion), Elk, Greenwood, Labette (portion), Montgomery (portion), Wilson and Woodson counties)
    Senator Ty Masterson - District 16 (western Butler County, Andover, Augusta, Benton, Rose Hill, Whitewater, plus eastern Sedgwick County)
    Rep. Steve Brunk - District 85 (Benton area plus NE Sedgwick County)
    Rep. Will Carpenter - District 75 (Cassoday, El Dorado, Elbing, Potwin, Towanda)
    Rep. David Crum - District 77 (Andover (portion), Augusta, Douglass, Rose Hill)
    Rep. Dennis Hedke - District 99 (most of Andover plus parts of eastern Sedgwick County)
    Rep. Virgil Peck - District 12 (SE Butler County, Latham, Leon, Rosalia plus Chautauqua, Cowley, Elk and Montgomery counties)
    Rep. Marc Rhoades - District 72 (Whitewater plus portions of Harvey County)
