  • An accident on 14th Avenue two-tenths of a mile North of Pawnee road resulted in three injuries, with one person in critical condition Friday morning.
At 7:45 a.m., a 2005 Ford Focus driven southbound on 14th Avenue by Mija Stockman, 38, of Lindsborg, was struck head-on by a 1992 Dodge pickup driven by Jeffrey Davis, 50, of Heseria, Calif.
Davis had been northbound on 14th Avenue and lost control of his vehicle on a patch of ice, resulting in the vehicle sliding over into the oncoming lane of traffic and colliding with Stockman.
A third vehicle driven by Pamela Tjesky, 57, of rural McPherson, was behind Stockman and also was involved in the collision.
Stockman was transported by McPherson EMS to Wichita in critical condition. Davis was initially taken to McPherson Hospital, and also was transported to Wichita later in the morning.
Tjesky was taken to McPherson Hospital with minor injuries.
