Ida Mae (Winters) McBee, 95, Augusta, passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Douglass. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, rural Augusta.
Ida was born Dec. 14, 1918, to Oscar "Mike" Lewis and Clara (Beaver) Winters in Augusta. She graduated high school and Venus Beauty College. She married Leonard Earnest McBee on Aug. 15, 1941, in Wichita. Ida worked in the laundry at the Augusta Hospital and at Lehr's Motel. She was also a school bus driver.
Her survivors include: her sons, Jerry McBee of Mulvane, and Michael and his wife Jane McBee of Callahan, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; son, Bill McBee; brother, Guy Winters; sisters, Viola Binder and Mabel Crabtree.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church of Douglass, 107 South Maple, Douglass, KS 67039.
