Legion Riders donate bicycles to Salvation Army
The American Legion Riders continue to brighten Christmas for a few kids in Butler County.
Members of the riders donated six bicycles to the Salvation Army, which they can give out to kids in need.
Sean Robinson, Riders director, said they purchased bikes for ages that were in most demand.
“We try to do what we can,” Robinson said.
The bikes were purchased with donations from the Riders.
While there wasn’t specific fundraising for this project, Robinson said they do hold fundraising events throughout the year so they can give back to the community.
“We wanted to give these for the kids,” Robinson said.
The Salvation Army is holding its distribution days this week.
“It’s just nice to see how appreciative the parents are who come through,” said Captain Charles Pinkston, with the Salvation Army.
