The jury brought back a guilty verdict of attempted second degree murder for Jan Tracy Kilbourne in the shooting of Butler County Sheriff Deputy Jacob Lawrence.
The state had asked for an attempted capital murder with a lesser charge of attempted second degree murder.
The jury also found Kilbourne guilty of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and interference with law enforcement.
They deliberated for about 2 hours and 40 minutes before reaching their verdict.
Sentencing was set for Feb. 6 and Kilbourne is continuing to be held on the bond previously set by the court.
