The City of Augusta’s reading of the water and electric meters for December has been delayed by as much as one week.
They apologize in advance for this inconvenience. This has resulted in some resident’s December bills being higher due the added week of usage but those residents should also notice a reduction in the January bills because it will be for one week less than a full month of usage.
Additionally, a portion of the Dec. 15 utility bills will be mailed out up to two days late. They include the following streets: Arnold Drive, Brookdale, Colonial, Elm Drive, Fairlane Drive, Good Drive, Huntington, Lakeside, North Ohio, Quail Drive, Ranchwood, Ridgecrest, State Street (downtown), Stephanie, Susan, Timber, Woodland, Birchwood, Bristol Court, Colleen, Country Hills, Country Lane, Danbury, Fieldstone, Rocky Ridge, Rushwood, Sandalwood, Scott, Steven, Stonegate, Stonelake and Stoneybrook.
The due date for the bills mailed late will be adjusted proportionately, and late fees will not be assessed until after the adjusted due date for those streets listed. Anyone with questions regarding the status of a bill can contact the Utility Office at (316) 775-4555.
