Andover’s wrestling team went 4-1 at its dual tournament Saturday.
The Trojans beat Sabetha 51-27, defeated Smoky Valley 45-25, topped Riley County 54-30 and won a tough dual against Bonner Springs 35-32 despite having one more open weight class.
The Trojans lost to always-tough Clay Center 39-36 after Clay Center rattled off six straight wins to close the dual.
Paul Stewart got two pins and a major decision in the 113-pound weight division. He also had two open matches for a 5-0 day.
Jack Maki (120) went 4-1 with three pins and an open weight at 120.
Griffin Bossingham (126) and Jake Dusenbury (16) also went 4-1 with two pins and an open weight. Brabender Cabrera and Mike Lopez, who switched with each other between 195 and 220 for a couple bouts, finished 4-1 on the day.
Dylan Kepler (132) went 3-2 for the Trojans.
