Augusta's 7th- and 8th-grade A team split their games at Haysville West Monday night.
The Bluejays' 8th-grade A team beat Haysville 56-33. The Bluejays took control of the game with a 16-4 second-quarter advantage and closed the fourth quarter with an 11-4 advantage.
Jonny Clausing was able to take advantage of his size down low to lead Augusta with 17 points. Clay Wesbrooks added 10 points and Nate Kelley chipped in with nine for the Bluejays.
Blake Bevan scored six, Noah Johnson had five, Jake Swink and Grady Tole had four apiece, and Tyler Johnson had one for Augusta.
Haysville's 7th-grade A team edged the Bluejays 38-31 by winning a low-scoring third quarter and finishing strong.
Easton Leedom led the Bluejays with 15 points. Blake Altenhofen had eight, Zac Burton scored five, Cole Johnson had two and Chase Sharp added one.
The Bluejays' 7th-grade B team beat Haysville 34-17. Augusta only allowed five points through three quarters.
The Bluejays won with balance scoring. Braden Lowe and Geoff Geier both had a team-high six points. Roman Swartz and Isaiah Chance both chipped in with five points. Noah Dalrymple scored four. Ceetyn Anderson, Trevor Gray, Cade Zerr and Jake Tucker all added two points apiece for the Bluejays.
The Augusta boys teams will return home Thursday to face Andover Central.
