The Andover Cetral Jaguars rode a couple of hot hands to pick up an easy 81-47 win over Campus Friday night.
The 6A Colts jumped out to an 11-4 lead in the first quarter but Central rallied behind two driving baskets by sophomore Darraja Parnell to tie the game at 11-11.
Central continued to struggle in the first but they led 18-15 after one period.
Campus came back to lead 19-17 but the Jaguars started a barrage that could not be stopped.
Zach Lock got a big rebound and put back to give the Jags the lead at 23-19 and Chris Forbes – a senior transfer – hit six three pointers in a matter of minutes in the second period to stake ACHS to a 50-26 lead at the half.
Parnell picked up the pace in the third period. He scored 15 of his game high 26 points in the third.
The Jags cruised home for the 34-point win.
Parnell led all scorers with 26 and Forbes added 20. Jordan Birch added seven and Brock Schaffer and Logan Kirkhart each scored six.
