NEWTON—The Wildcats boys swimming team opened their season at Newton Tuesday.

El Dorado finished with 97 points to place 7th in the seven team field.

In the 200 yard freestyle junior Breck Towner placed third overall with a time of 2:08.26, Towner also took third in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:59.63.

Keegan Wilson place 8th in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:38.27, Wilson also took third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.92. In the 50 yard freestyle the Wildcats had two top ten finishers in Tanner Clites at fifth with a time of 25.29 and Ridge Towner at 8th with a time of 25.44, Towner also claimed a fifth place finish in the 100 yard freestyle at 59.26.

The Wildcats had their best finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay in which the team of Ridge Towner, Keegan Wilson, Breck Towner and Tanner Clites took second place with a time of 1:40.81.

Clites also took 12th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:22.23.
