A run/walk benefit fundraising event for Brylei Thindiu will be held on Nov. 30 at the Augusta City Lake, and sponsored by LakePoint of Augusta. Registration and check-in will be at 9 a.m. and the four-mile Loop of the Lake will begin at 9:30 a.m. The 1.5 mile fun walk/run will begin at 9:45 a.m.
For $25 a t-shirt will be included, and t-shirts alone will be $20. Must pre-register by Tuesday, Nov. 19, to ensure a t-shirt.
Delicious baked goods will be available for purchase at the event.
Brylei Thindiu was born on Oct. 8, 2013, at 34 weeks gestation. Her parents and 1-year-old brother Brycen, knew Brylei was in a fight for her life.
She has been diagnosed with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC), thoracic scoliosis, and has an undiagnosed brain abnormality.
In addition, she has a wrongly positioned airway passage, which can cause her to stop breathing if her head is turned in a certain way.
Brylei has recently experienced seizures and will be traveling to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
