  • Do you ever stop and count your blessings? We all should! One of the greatest blessings is life itself.
We all have one life to live, so what should our purpose be in living life?
Pride causes many of our problems, because we think that we know more than God. Know that we are human. Humility will keep this fact before us at all times.
Know that this world is not our home. This is especially true for the Christian. There will come a day when all that is visible to the eye will be destroyed. Yes, this world in which we live, will one day be no more. Then what? The after-life, eternity stands before us all. Are we ready? Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21).
Paul longed for something beyond this life - eternity. This should be our goal and not just for living for today.
Know your dignity and self-worth. We are created in the image of God. The gift of life is from God Himself. Be thankful for who you are! The Psalmist said, “For thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well.” (Psalms 139: 13,14).
We have been blessed with the gift of life!
