  • Circle High School students will be getting a new school soon. Ground was broken for the 2 1/2-year project Monday afternoon behind the current school.
Teachers, staff, students and community members gathered for the ground breaking ceremony.
Site development will now get underway, followed by building construction beginning in February 2014 and continuing through June 2015. This second phase will consist of three education wings and a new competition gym.
Following that part of the current building will be demolished, including the existing media center, classrooms and gymnasium, as well as construction of the administration area, media center and black box.
In the fourth phase, construction will begin on the remainder of the new school in September 2015 and continue until August 2016. This work includes the demolition of the remaining existing building and the remodel of the entrance to the existing auditorium.
