Maxine Lucille Barton, 96, of El Dorado, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at her home.
A visitation with the family present will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
Maxine was born on Nov.13, 1916 in Anthony, Kan., the daughter of Charley and Grace (Mortimer) Lahman. She graduated from High School in Bluff City, Kan. She was a member of the Christian Church. On Feb. 1, 1986, she and Euwal “Shorty” Barton were united in marriage in Mexico. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2009. Maxine loved watching all sports, to knit and be around flowers. She liked motorcycles and traveling on motorcycles.
Those who survive include: her children, Mooneen Clair Booth, Rockaway, Mo., and Max Honeyman, El Dorado; eight grandchildren, Travis Scott Albright, Curtis Mikel Albright, Randy Booth, Cindy Junkins, Christi Bradshaw, Karen Foreman, Drew Ludewick, Derrek Ludewick; three great-grandchildren, Nicola McCarthy, Angie Davidson, and Michelle Davidson; ten great-great-grandchildren, Samantha Eaton, Chaze Booth, Cornell Brown, Kristen Oliver, Kaleiha Davidson, Cole Drake, Allison, Mason LaForge, Seth Hackler Brett Hackler; three great-great-great grandchildren, Karsynn Lefew, Ryder Ludewick, Payton Gladfelter.
She was also preceded in death by great –grandchildren Dusty Booth, Kyla Ludewick, and Mandy Booth; great-great-great-grandchild, Alex Madison; a sister, Olive Flynn.
