  • To the Times-Gazette:
Each year the Augusta Community Center distributes Christmas toys to children ages 1 through 12 in the greater Augusta area. Last year the Center distributed toys to over 100 children in order that they could have a Merry Christmas. We plan to do the same again this year.
In order to ensure that we are able to reach as many children as possible, we need your help. Between now and Dec. 7, 2013, we will be collecting toys for children, boys and girls, ages 1 through 12. The toys collected will be distributed on Dec. 14, 2013 to all families who have signed up at the Center.
We would prefer new toys, but gently used toys will also be accepted.
If you would like to make sure a child in the Augusta area has a Merry Christmas, please donate to the Community Caring Center Toy Drive. A smile on a child's face on Christmas morning is the greatest gift you can receive.
Please bring your donations to the Center during the times we are open: Mondays - 4 to 6 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays - 1 to 4 p.m.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity, for without we would not exist.
