The Douglass Bulldogs led wire to wire as they were able to blow out Belle Plaine 50-12 and clinch a Class 3A playoff spot.

Rip Fraley paced the Bulldogs with 165 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. He score one in the first quarter and one in the second as the Bulldogs built a 22-0 halftime lead.

The Bulldogs' defense also came up with a safety in the half.

In the second half, Chase Banister, who didn't need to pass much, threw a 23-yard TD pass to Ethan Savoy for one of his only two completions on the night. He later ran for a score from 10 yards out.

John Gardener returned an interception 55 yards for a Bulldog touchdown.

Kye Wright added a nine-yard score late in the game for Douglass. He finished with 19 yards on four carries.

Douglass, now 2-0 in Districts, will finish the regular season with a game against Conway Springs, which already has the second playoff spot from the district, wrapped up.
