  • A Frost Advisory will be in effect overnight tonight for an area that includes Butler County.  Temperatures are expected to fall close to the freezing mark in our area, making patchy frost possible. The actual advisory period will run from 1:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Friday.  Friday’s daytime temps will struggle to reach 60 degrees, before rebounding slightly into the mid-to-upper 60’s for Saturday through Monday.
The other “big” story is an approaching storm system that could hit the Plains states somewhere at some time with some mixture of precipitation. Unfortunately, that’s about as precise as our local forecasters can be at the moment. They are currently watching a system that has the potential to stir up everything from snow to severe weather. However, other than the fact that it is expected to arrive next week, the track and timing is very uncertain.  At this point, just be aware that a significant weather event could be on the horizon. But this will definitely be one of those cases where you will want to check back later for further updates!
