  • Barbara Huntsinger went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Oct. 5, 2013.
She was born Barbara Ann Regier on May 27, 1954 in Cheyenne, Wyo., the daughter of Elmer and Betty Regier.
She was educated in the Newton and Liberal schools.
She moved to Jewell, Kan., in 1971, where she met and later was united in marriage with Bill Huntsinger. They made their first home in Marysville, Kansas where their daughter, Talitha Lyn, was born in 1975.
In 1979, a new career for Bill with the Corps of Engineers took them to live in El Dorado, and later in Lawton, Okla.; Tulsa, Okla.; Great Bend; and Sand Springs, Okla., spanning 26 years until 2005 when Bill retired.
Barbara and Bill then traveled the USA in their motorhome until 2010, when they bought a home in Canon City, Colo. The Rocky Mountains are a part of God’s creation they have both enjoyed together.
Barbara is now in complete peace and looks forward to a time when she will share her new glorious life with Bill, and with Talitha, her daughter, along with husband Paul De Yonghe and grandchildren, Rebecca, Paul Robert, and Rachel from Tulsa. Also joining this family reunion will be her sister, Beverly Maltbie from Hamilton, Kan., and her brothers, Harold Regier from Lehi, Utah, Ric Regier from Twin Bridges, Mont., Darrell Regier from Lumberton, Texas, and Roy Regier of Orange, Texas.
Barbara was preceded in glory by her dad, Elmer; her mother, Betty; her brother, Raymond; her sister, Bonnie; and her two infant children.
Barbara now resides in her new home in Heaven.
There will be a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Mankato, Kan. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home.
