Megan Wong placed fourth and the doubles team of Claire Calvert and Colby Fugit placed fifth to help the Lady Jaguars place fourth overall.

Andover Central senior Megan Wong lost in the semifinal to the eventual state champion before placing fourth overall in the 4A State Tennis Tournament in Topeka this weekend.

Wong won her first two matches 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-3 before falling to Abbi Groff of Independence.

Claire Calvert, a sophomore and freshman Colby Fugit teamed up to take fifth overall. They lost to a team from Chanute in the winners bracket and then won the rematch with them in the consolation semifinals before sweeping through the back of the bracket for fifth place.

The team is coached by John Calabro.
