The preliminary hearing for Susan May has been moved back due to the fact she had not obtained counsel by the hearing Monday afternoon.
"I had no idea what I was talking about that day," May said in reference to her stating she would get an attorney. "That just wasn't me."
She was given an application to fill out for a court appointed attorney and she was appointed Attorney Jim Watts. The preliminary hearing control date was then set for Oct. 31 and the evidentuary preliminary hearing was set for Nov. 27.
In addition, Judge Jan Satterfield reviewed some amended information in the charges.
While none of the penalty provisions have changed, there was language added to most of the charges to place a domestic violence tag on them.
"Due to the fact it is my understanding you and the victim were related,"Satterfield explained, "ie: he was your brother and you lived together in the same residence at the time."
