The World War II History Museum is seeking help from the public in their fundraising efforts.
They are asking people to drop off donations of aluminum cans at their new container in the parking lot of Ace Hardware, which was put in place last week.
The money they raise from the cans will go toward their building fund.
The museum has already outgrown its space on West Central.
“We are either going to go buy a bigger place or build a building,” said Loren Anthony. “It’s the first stage in our building fund.”
The enclosure features a Rosie the Riveter sign telling people to donate their cans.
The museum will be hosting a kick-off campaign for their fundraising later this month. They plan to be at the drop off site on Oct. 19 with a couple of vehicles and some re-enactors there to receive donations of cans. More details will follow about the kick-off event.
