Jonnie L. Johnson, 71, of El Dorado, died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at his home. A celebration of Jonnie’s life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the El Dorado Senior Center. Friends and family may come and go as they please. Cremation will precede the services.
He was born on Aug. 14, 1942 in El Dorado the son of John H. and Clara Lee Stebbins Johnson. Jonnie attended El Dorado High School and then joined the U.S. Army. After his service time he worked as a pumper for Oxy USA Oil Company. He loved to ride and work with horses and to shoot.
Those who survive include his side kick of the home; sons and their spouses, Jonnie E. and Karen Johnson of El Dorado and Kent W. and Dawn Johnson of Little River; brothers, Sam L. Johnson of Marion, and Dennis and Debbie Johnson and Mark A. and Connie Johnson, all of El Dorado; grandchildren, Erika, Levi, Mason and Callie, Kegan and girlfriend Ashley, and Alex; a great granddaughter, Ella; seven nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
