  • Circle hosted a triangular with McPherson and Mulvane on Tuesday.
McPherson, 18-1 and ranked first in the state, defeated Mulvane in two games, 25-9 and 25-12.
McPherson took on host Circle and defeated the Thunderbirds in two games, 25-18 and 25-14.
“I was proud of the way we competed hard against McPherson, especially in the first set. We were tied at 16, but then their taller hitters took over. They definitely showed why they’re the #1 team in the state,” said Circle head coach Shelly Nibarger.
Circle bounced back in the night cap defeating Mulvane in three games 25-16, 23-25 and 25-17.
“We recovered to defeat Mulvane which was good to see,” said Nibarger.
Circle moved to 16-5 on the season.
Next Tuesday, Circle will travel to compete in the Augusta Triangular with Clearwater in two AVCTL, Division 4 matches.
