Donna Marie Nystrom, 68, of Cassoday, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cassoday United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Cassoday Cemetery.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1944 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Don and Lenore (Webb) Trostle. She graduated from Nickerson High School, attended McPherson College for one year and then Nursing School in Denver. She owned and operated the Sterling Bakery for 11 years. Donna was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Cassoday United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed doing crafts, baking and being with her family.
On Aug. 21, 1965, Donna and John C. Nystrom were united in marriage in Nickerson.
Those she leaves are her children, Lenore Nystrom of Cassoday and John Keith Nystrom of El Dorado; a granddaughter, Johnna Cristeen of Cassoday; and two brothers and their spouses, Gary and Mary Trostle of Nickerson and Keith and Barbara Trostle of Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death on March 25, 2010 by her husband and also by her parents.
