  • The motel people are issuing demands and setting deadlines. That just seems to scream " NO WAY!” After our new city manager has been on the job for six months then have your workshop. That should allow enough time for the motel company to make its corporate books, payroll records, and tax returns available. Simple, no financial records, no tax money.

    So if I carry a gun with me everywhere then I can whip it out and shoot anyone who seems threatening, because I sure don’t want them to shoot first. Yeah, that makes sense.

    Looks like we have two city councilmen who don’t want any new businesses to come to town...We need that motel to come to town.

    City, county and state employees are affected by KPERS. Not many teachers double dip. If you want our future working Americans to have a good education, think about it.

    Kudos to Monday Night Football! No, not TV, but Augusta Oriole freshmen and junior varsity teams. The past three Mondays we have traveled to Circle, Mulvane, and Wellington to watch the boys play. Great games! Great team work! Beautiful weather! Congratulations to the players and coaches. Go Orioles!

    Every time I drive through the intersection at Kelly and Ohio, I marvel on the wonderful job everyone did making it happen. And I agree with others - isn’t it so much better than a roundabout?
