Augusta High School soccer will be participating in its third annual One Common Goal—Kicking Cancer game Thursday, Oct. 10 at Hillier Stadium. Players for the boys soccer team will wear pink jerseys proudly.
Starting tomorrow, Sept. 25, the players will be visiting local businesses in search of sponsors to make their fundraising successful.
Last year, the soccer team raised more than $2,000, which was donated to the American Cancer Society in an effort to eradicate this disease that affects so many of our lives.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and be a part of the special night.
One Common Goal t-shirts will be ordered and available for purchase that night for $15, with all the proceeds against going to the American Cancer Society.
Anyone interested in ordering a t-shirt now may call Angie Rowland at 775-3770 or 409-0801 before Oct. 4.
