GODDARD—Augusta's girls golfers again found themselves hovering around the top 20, but this time, the Orioles put together a solid team score.
Augusta finished fifth with a score of 178 at the Eisenhower Invitational at Tex Consolver. The meet was cut short halfway through due to inclement weather.
Sarah Braddy led the Orioles with a nine-hole score of 44 to earn 17th place. Jackie Brandenburg finished 19th with a score of 44, Baylee Johnston was 20th and Ashley Roby was 21st with rounds of 45. Lyndsey Stuart shot a 50 and Becca Spyres shot a 52 for the Orioles.
Eisenhower had a clean sweep of the individual and team titles. Hutchinson took second with a team score of 170, Cheney took third (175) and Winfield finished just one stroke ahead of the Orioles (177).
The Orioles will host their home tournament Monday, Sept. 23.
